Susana Moreno
Periana, Málaga
Art, care, nature and life come together in the projects of this artist, who values the experiences and connections created along the way, understood as journeys taken in company that give meaning to the final form.
She currently combines her work as a nurse in paediatric A&E with her artistic practice in her studio in Málaga.
Paseando el paisaje (Walking the landscape) is her ongoing project, which began with the artistic project Con los pies en el suelo (Feet on the ground), made as her final degree project at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Málaga in 2022. It is a constant experiment and a way of being present while walking and caring.
Every work is a true story in which we learn to look at the landscapes we wander through, building bonds with nature and with life. Each one belongs to a different territory, a different landscape and a different journey, where particular pictorial relationships and culminations take shape, full of colour, fragrance and texture. They show an unusual quickening of flowers, of their souls, of a drift and an early death where their flow was cut short… a field or a space that does not last and is in continuous transformation. They are like mobile, ephemeral, wandered gardens, where the visitor also feels something, has every sense stirred and decides on their essence or value. Poetically, they tell a story left open to the viewer’s imagination, in which everything passes: the good and the bad.
Paseando el paisaje shows an interest in life, in the everyday, in the natural and the floral that can be found almost anywhere, if we look and are present in each moment, enjoying today’s details.
