Who we are

We are a cultural association that brings together organisations and professionals from the art world in Málaga. Our mission is to strengthen the cultural fabric of the city and the province by building a sustainable network devoted to promoting the contemporary arts.

Since our beginnings in 2016 and our consolidation as a cultural association in 2020, we have driven encounters, exhibitions and debates that have given visibility to more than thirty projects, spanning a wide range of spaces, artists and collectives from the city of Málaga and from towns across the province such as Torrox, Casabermeja, Villanueva del Rosario and Moclinejo, among others.

We promote the contemporary arts

We give visibility to contemporary art and culture in our region, highlighting its content and drawing new audiences by creating experiences grounded in good practice.

We stand up for the cultural sector

We defend professional work in the cultural field and we watch over the standards that guarantee the quality and professionalism of the sector.

We build artistic networks

We encourage collaboration between cultural organisations, creating and strengthening networks that make exchange and connection between artists and organisations easier.

We foster cooperation between institutions

We drive alliances and ties with other sectors and institutions, strengthening our channels of communication — both internal and external — in order to widen our reach and impact.

We strengthen our network

We make our members’ work known through content on social media, the search visibility of our website and the support of e-mail marketing tools, deepening our bond with the community and spreading the values of our association. We also organise cultural activities that act as a meeting point between creators and the public, encouraging a better understanding of art and of the processes behind artistic creation.

Institutional relations and presence

We seek to build relationships with other organisations and to be present where it matters, through strategic alliances with institutions, government bodies, universities and research centres. We take part in forums, conferences and round tables, and we represent EA Málaga in institutional networks in order to consolidate our standing within the cultural and business ecosystem around us.
