Sara Sarabia

Sara Sarabia (Granada, 1983) graduated in Fine Art from the Alonso Cano Faculty in Granada in 2006. She builds her work on process and on the dialogue between concept and experiment, through the deconstruction of technique, seeking the weight of the message and of the image. She combines this side of her profession with an equally frenetic activity in cultural management and curating.

After moving between different occupations, in 2009 she settled as team and project coordinator at the family architecture practice, where she applies her creative training to the design and project image stage; in parallel, she began working in curating and cultural management. From 2015 to 2020 she was co-director of La Casa Amarilla, a gallery and centre for contemporary art and culture, where she developed curatorial projects and created festivals and artistic gatherings. From 2020 to 2023 she directed the EAmálaga project, whose aim is to give visibility to the network of organisations generating art and culture in the city of Málaga — all without setting aside independent curatorial projects, and alongside her own artistic production.
