My artistic work unfolds mainly in the field of contemporary sculpture, with ceramics as its essential medium. Through organic and symbolic forms, I explore questions of identity, memory and transformation, giving rise to presences that move between the recognisable and the imaginary.
This search takes shape in Aeterna, an ever-evolving project that deals with identity and its possible transformations. The sculptures bring in ancestral references and elements drawn from the cyborg imaginary, proposing new readings of the body and its limits.
Alongside this, I pursue a line of audiovisual experimentation with Javier López, with whom I form another artistic project, Kansas Anymore. Our work combines music, visual creation and live performance, exploring the relationships between identity, perception, reality and fiction. We weave in narrative and dreamlike elements that invite us to question the way we observe and interpret what surrounds us.
I combine my artistic practice with teaching ceramics and pottery, which I have done since 2012. I give personalised classes in my studio in Málaga, working on different hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques in small groups.
